Thomas and Julien de Bie aka Parallells are a duo of DJ/producers from South of France and based in Amsterdam.
The duo grew up in a jazzy environment and played both at the Jazz Conservatory. Their set can be characterised by the mix of several genres with a spacey and melodic touch that brings its audience on an emotional journey. As co-founders of Klassified Records, the two brothers also run the Klassified Music Festival in South of France.
Proposing both DJ and LIVE sets, since 2015 Parallells quickly made their way into the music industry, playing in famous festivals over the globe such as Burning Man (USA), Afrika Burn (SA), Garbicz (PL), Into the Woods (NL), Les Plages Electroniques (FR), The Monastery (DE), Moga (MC), as well as respected clubs such as Katerblau, Sisyphos, Wilden Renate (Berlin), De Marktkantine (Amsterdam) or Ahau (Tulum) to name a few.
Parallells continuously search for new and unusual sounds that they use and translate into music. One of their project called “A Day At” is a video series where tracks are played live using only the environment’s organic sounds and analogue music gears. With release on BAR 25, Submarine Vibes, Crossings, Akbal and their own imprint Klassified, the two brothers are also residents of Amsterdam collective The Gardens of Babylon, Ibiza’s party Woomoon and Berlin’s event Bordel des Arts.
A day At
A Day at
Cancer Center Amsterdam
As many others, we have been -and still are- confronted with the effects of cancer among family, friends and acquaintances. Directly or indirectly everyone is affected by this disease. Through our project A day at Cancer Center Amsterdam, we want to create awareness for the hard work that is done by doctors and researchers on a daily basis, by treating patients and doing research into curing or life-extending therapies. We were very much impressed by the important, and often complex work they do. We therefore decided to start a fund raising campaign, in order to help at least a little in bringing the cure of cancer a bit closer. Via this campaign, and via our music, we collect money for the research institute of Cancer Center Amsterdam. Please help us on our mission, and donate what you can miss for more research into this deadly, and often devastating disease.
